How this personal website handles visitor information.
Privacy Policy
This is a personal website. I do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
The site uses Google Analytics and PostHog to understand, in aggregate, how it is used. They may collect information such as pages visited, navigation between pages, approximate location, referrer, device and browser details, reading depth and time, clicks, performance measurements, and browser errors. PostHog uses a pseudonymous browser identifier to recognize return visits and may store it in cookies or browser storage. It does not create person profiles on this site. PostHog may autocapture interactions with public page elements, but its session recording is disabled.
Site search is performed locally in the browser. Search terms and copied text are not sent to PostHog. Search result counts, search-text length ranges, selected result positions, and copy requests may be recorded. URL query strings and fragments are removed from custom PostHog URL properties. Browser errors may include their full error messages and stack traces so technical problems can be diagnosed.
The site also uses Microsoft Clarity for click and scroll heatmaps, bot detection, and session replay. Clarity can reconstruct public page content and interactions for a recorded visit. Form and search input values are masked. The site initially tells Clarity that analytics and advertising storage consent has not been granted, so Clarity must not use cookies unless a later consent mechanism grants permission.
The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub and its infrastructure providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the site. Some pages also load a stylesheet from jsDelivr. Your selected color theme is stored only in your browser, and site searches are performed locally in your browser.
You can use browser privacy controls, content blockers, or Do Not Track to limit analytics collection. You can also clear stored site data through your browser settings.
